Parisian Bohemia
Parisian Bohemia
Founded in the 1880s, Café de Flore has long been a cultural landmark in Paris, not just for its historic architecture and timeless aesthetic, but for its deep connection to the city’s intellectual and artistic life. During the early 20th century, it became a favourite haunt for writers, philosophers, and artists—Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir were regulars, often discussing existentialism over coffee.
Café de Flore played a key role in Paris’s literary and artistic heritage, drawing a crowd that ranged from literary giants and artists to avant-garde intellectuals and Hollywood stars. Over the decades, the café became a symbol of the Left Bank’s bohemian spirit, where ideas, art, and lifestyles intersected in a way that was uniquely Parisian.
Invite the charm and allure of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Parisian history into your home with this evocative photograph of Café de Flore. Perfect for those who appreciate the elegance of timeless spaces and the cultural depth of one of Paris’s most beloved institutions.
